Steve Tanner serves as the Executive Director of Expansion for Express People Care, powered by Marketplace Chaplains. His mission is to extend Express People Care’s reach across the vast network of businesses in East Texas, tailoring services to meet the needs of compassionate Express business owners who are committed to supporting their staff effectively.
Originally from Orange County, California, Steve completed his high school education at Jersey Village in Houston. He attended East Texas Baptist University, where he met his wife, Millie Leonard, a native of Tyler, Texas. Steve and Millie have been married for 28 years. Millie is the co-founder of the Solace Anxiety and Counseling Center in Tyler. They are proud parents of identical twin boys who are currently attending Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
With over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Steve is a gifted speaker and a compassionate friend. He excels in helping business leaders support their employees by fostering a caring and compassionate work environment.
WORKSITE VISITS
Personalized, brief, regularly scheduled visits during strategic times, provide visibility, immediate access and relationship building without interfering with work.
OFFSITE VISITS & CARE
The result of the proactive worksite visits are extended conversations with employees away from work, at a coffee shop, a home, a restaurant, or in response to a need at a hospital, senior living community, funeral home or a jail.
Our Care Partners
Our professional care partners are called to be workplace caregivers. They are dedicated to supporting the emotional wellness of employees. They have a heart for employees and understand the workplace as they have been there themselves dealing with stress, co-worker and supervisor conflicts, long hours and work dissatisfaction. Our Care Teams are fully-trained, managed, held accountable and supported by full-time Leaders.
Our care partners only perform front-line work. They are not required to do administrative duties, filling out paperwork, finding new care partner or asked to help market the service to new companies—they are focused and dedicated to take care of your employees, 24/7!
Our care partners utilizes a team approach. Your team of care partners will consist of male, female and ethnically-diverse care partner who are either full-time or assignment-based dependent on company locations and number of employees to be served.
Our care partners see employees as God sees them and are granted permission by company leaders like you to help people move out of ditches, towards a better destination and into better places of influence for themselves, their co-workers, their family and, ultimately, your company!
